Bryans Beach (T 162) is a curving 1.8 km long southwest-facing beach formed across the mouth of a steep-sided valley and impounds 25 ha Bryans Lagoon, which is fed by creeks draining off 620 m high Mount Freycinet. Waves averaging less than 1 m reach the beach and maintain a reflective to low tide terrace beach backed by a continuous foredune. The largely infilled lagoon is deflected to the east occasionally breaking out across the eastern end of the beach.
