Beach T 179 is located on the northern side of the low 50 m wide point and consists of a semicircular 60 m long sandy beach located to the lee of two low rocky points with a 30 m wide gap in between. In addition there are two large boulders on and one just off the beach. This is a popular picnic and swimming area with three small car parks and picnic facilities backing the beach.
