Swimming

The six Prosser Bay beaches are all relatively safe for swimming with usually calm to low wave conditions and shallow bars. Care must be taken near the river mouth, as there are deep tidal channels and strong tidal currents.

Surfing

Usually none. However when there is a big outside swell there are good lefts at the Orford (Prosser) River Mouth, and a right-hander at Shelly (Luther) Point.
