Beaches T 230-232 are part of a near continuous 1 km long section of east-facing sand that terminates at Saltworks Beach. Waves decrease to the south as the beaches become increasingly protected by Seaford Point. Beach T 230 commences on the southern side of a 100 m wide low grassy point and trends south for 200 m to a small foreland formed in lee of rock reef located 100-300 m offshore. Waves average about 1 m and maintain a 30 m wide low tide terrace, with rocks scattered along the beach and to either end. Beach T 231 continues south of the foreland for another 700 m to a low grassy point. Waves decrease slightly, with the bar narrowing to the south. Both beaches are backed by a low grassy foredune and cleared farmland.
