Beach MI 8 is located 500 m to the west and extends for 300 m to the lee of 7 m high Point Lesueur. Its western end is tied to the point by a cobble-boulder isthmus, which narrows to 50 m at the point of attachment. Low waves and reflective conditions usually prevail along the beach, which is backed by hummocky dune-draped bedrock slopes, with one area of active blowouts.
