Beach MI 2 is located on the rocky northern shore of Riedle Bay 500 m east of Red Rock Point. The 80 m long pocket of sand is located at the mouth of a steep narrow gully, with massive granite rocks bordering each side, together with a ridge of granite extending across the mouth of the 100 m wide 80 m deep bay. The sandy beach is located to the rear of the rocks at the mouth of the gully. Waves break over the rocks and roll into the bay, with a permanent rip flowing out through a narrow gap in the rocks.
