Beach T 271 is located in a small embayment 700 m south of Stapleton Point. It consists of a 50 m long high tide cobble beach fronted by a small sandy low tide terrace and a sand covered bay floor. Low rocks border the southern side of the beach, which is part of a narrow coastal reserve. Steep slopes back the bay and grade inland into gently sloping farmland.
