Dover Beach (T 518) extends from the western base of Knobbys Point for 400 m to the small mouth of Dover Rivulet then another 100 m to the Dover jetty and slipway. The sandy beach faces southeast toward the bay mouth and consists of a reflective high tide beach fronted by 100-200 m wide sand flats with some boats moored off the western end near the jetty (Fig. 4.90). A low vegetated foredune and small reserve runs between the road and beach with a picnic area and toilets at the eastern end. Across the road are a row of houses, caravan park and the small township extending to the north.
