tree-covered points 500 m south of Finns Beach. To the south of the 70 m wide river mouth the shoreline trends southeast in a series of small embayments for 1.5 km to Needle Point located to the lee of Kelly Rocks, which extends 1 km east into the central bay mouth. Three small embayed beaches (T 554-556) are located along the shore with beaches T 554 and 555 sharing a 300 m wide northeast-facing bay. Beach T 554 is a curving 250 m long reflective beach bordered by a wooded rocky point to the north and small rock outcrop to the south. Beach T 555 continues south of the rock outcrop for another 100 m to the southern tree-covered Mary Ann Point. The beaches are backed by partly cleared land and private houses with the road 100 m to the west and no direct public access.
