Moss Glen is a small collection of houses just inside Pigsties Bay, with two low energy beaches (T 549 and 550) occupying its southwestern shore. They receive either very low swell or have calm conditions. Beach T 549 is a curving east-facing narrow high tide beach fronted by shallow sand and rock flats, with the road running right along the rear of the beach, and several houses in a clearing on the other side. A 50 m wide low rocky point and platform separate it from beach T 550 which curves to the south for 80 m backed by low grassy bluffs and cleared land between the shore and road. It is bordered by the rock platforms and fronted by shallow rock flats. Small waves break along the southwest-trending rock flats that extend 300 m south to Ryans Point and can provide a right-hand break during bigger swell.
Beach Length: 0.08km
General Hazard Rating: 3/10
