Beach T 541 occupies the southern entrance to the lagoon. It is an exposed curving east- to north-facing 400 m long beach, fronted by a 100 m wide bar with the deep 100 m wide tidal channel running off the northern end of the beach while it is attached to a low bedrock high in the south. Waves average over 1.5 m and usually produce a strong rip draining out against the southern rocks, which combines with the tidal flow through the inlet to produce hazardous surf conditions. A 50 m wide foredune, then the lagoon backs the beach. There is a walking track across the foredune used by people landing on the lagoon shore.
