Elliott Beach (T 534) commences on the south side of the Southport Narrows where it faces north across the deep 100 m wide channel to beach T 533. The 1 km long beach curves round to trend southeast terminating at the old jetty, only the base of which remains. The beach is fronted by the sandy tidal shoals of the narrows, which extend up to 1 km into the bay to reach the lee of Pelican Island. Low swell breaks across the shoals producing surf during periods of higher swell. The shoals narrow to the southern end of the beach where there is a deepwater at the site of the jetty in Deephole Bay. The beach is backed by 300 m wide low wooded foredune ridges that abut wooded slopes rising to 80 m.
Beach Length: 1km
