Beaches BI 18 and 19 lie either side of a sandy tombolo located to the lee of a small 60 m high rocky islet 1.5 km southeast of Cape Connella. Beach BI 18 is located to the lee of the islet and faces east out of a 100 m wide rocky bay. The curving 150 m long beach forms the northern side of the tombolo and is moderately sheltered by the islet, reefs and its orientation, with usually lower swell and reflective conditions prevailing.
