Beach T 493 is located on the southern side of the narrow Fleurtys Point. It consists of a narrow 200 m long strip of high tide sand and cobbles fronted by 300 m wide sand flats, with oyster racks covering parts of the flats (Fig. 4.86). A landing for the oyster farm is located towards the southern end of the beach, with a belt of trees then orchards on the slopes behind, and the highway 400 m inland.
