Beach T 499 is located at the base of the Webster Road, which descends from the 100 m high backing slopes. The beach extends to the south for 300 m as a narrow high tide cobble beach, backed by partly tree-covered slopes, some cleared farmland and houses, with the highway 100 m inland. It is fronted by 300 m wide sand flats containing numerous oyster racks.
