Beach BI 11 is located in a 100 m long gap in the bluffs and shares the surf zone with Miles Beach to the east and Neck Beach to the south. The beach is bordered and backed by a small foredune and scrubby slopes rising to 50 m. Waves average 1.5 m and usually one strong rip drains the beach. The bluffs continue for another 200 m to the beginning of Neck Beach with patches of sand along their base and the surf and rips continuing to the main beach.
