Miles Beach (BI 10) commences 1 km inside the tip of the cape and trends to the west for 700 m terminating at the cliffed 50 m high Mars Bluffs. The eastern end is partly sheltered by the cape with waves averaging about 1 m and breaking across a 50 m wide low tide terrace. Wave height increases to about 1.5 m at the western end of the beach, as the surf zone widens to 100 m and rips begin to form. The beach is backed by a grassy foredune and well vegetated dunes that extend up to 1.5 km inland reaching 30-50 m in height and partly blocking the backing valley. Miles Creek drains through the dunes to reach the eastern section of the beach, while three smaller creeks are blocked by the dunes forming small perched lakes. The beach is accessible from the west via a 4WD track from the main road, which runs along the top of Mars Bluffs and in the east via the longer Rookery Track, which follows the cliff line and continues to Cape Queen Elizabeth.
