Beach BI 78 is located on the northern side of Sadgrove Point, commencing at the base of the 300 m long point. The narrow high tide beach trends northeast for 700 m to the next small headland. It faces northwest towards the bay mouth and is fronted by 150 m wide ridged sand flats. A small jetty is located out on the point past the sand flats and the main road runs along the rear of the beach, with beachfront houses along the southern half of the beach and Lawrence Creek draining across the centre.
