North of Smoothys Point is a series of three near continuous beaches (BI 80-82) which share continuous well developed ridged sand flats which widen to 600 m in the north. Beach BI 80 commences on the northern side of Smoothys Point and trends north for 600 m to a 150 m long section of low rocky shore, with rock flats extending out onto the flats. The beach is fronted by 300 m wide ridged sand flats and backed by the main road then densely vegetated slopes rising to 100 m. Beach BI 81 continues on the northern side of the rocks for another 400 m to the next 200 m long section of low rocks. The sand flats widen to 500 m with some oyster racks on the outer edge of the flats. The road and partly cleared slopes back the low narrow high tide beach.
