Trumpeter Point is a cliffed 60 m high dolerite point. Steep 50 m high cliffs line its southern side extending into the small rocky Lookout Bay. The bay contains a curving 150 m long boulder beach (BI 9). The beach faces southeast out of the little bay receiving waves averaging about 1 m. These surge up the steep beach and reach the backing cliffs during high seas. The only access to the beach is down the steep slopes of the point.
