The northern beach (BI 7) is a 250 m long high tide cobble beach fronted by a narrow sandy low tide terrace, with steep 10 m high bluffs behind, and eroding rocky points to either end. Beach BI 8 lies 100 m to the south and is a 150 m long sand and cobble beach fronted by narrow low tide terrace extending into sandy bay floor. The beach is backed by a small foredune then farmland, with a farm building on the southern point.
