Beach BI 30 is a 200 m long pocket of sand located between two cleared 20 m high dune-draped dolerite headlands, the western extending 300 m into the bay (Fig. 4.103). Waves average over 1.5 m and break across a 200 m wide surf zone, with a strong permanent rip running out against the western head. The beach is backed by grassy 10 m high bluffs rising to the vegetated dunes. The dunes have blown diagonally across the headlands and appear to have originated during the sea level transgression when sea level was lower and may be contemporary with the Sheepwash Creek dunes.
Beach Length: 0.2km
General Hazard Rating: 7/10
