Mickeys Bay is a 1 km wide bedrock embayment bordered by 18 m high Mickeys Point to the north, with slopes rising to 108 m behind and 78 m to the south. Two beaches are located in the bay (BI 50 and 51). Beach BI 50 is a 400 m long low energy narrow beach that faces west out of the bay mouth across 200 m wide sand flats, with Seagull Rock and Curlew Island located 600 m and 1.5 km offshore respectively. There is an access track to the centre of the beach and three holiday cabins located to either side and one behind the centre of the beach. Beach BI 51 occupies the northern end of the bay and faces south down the bay between Mickeys Point and the eastern boundary ridges. The beach is 350 m long and fronted by 400 m wide ridged sand flats, which partly fill the northern end of the bay. A house is located in a clearing on the western side of the beach, with a small creek draining into the western corner.
