Beaches BI 43 and 44 lie to the lee of Taylors Reef, a small rock outcrop located 400 m offshore. Beach BI 43 is a 100 m long pocket of northeast-facing sand fronted by narrow sand flats. It is located at the mouth of a small valley and bordered by rocky dolerite shore, which rises moderately inland as partly tree-covered slopes. Beach BI 44 lies 200 m to the east and is a similar 150 m long beach and 50 m wide sand flats backed and bordered by slopes rising to 40 m. A walking track from Lighthouse Jetty Beach runs along the eastern shore of the peninsula and past both beaches.
