Beach T 1148 is a 150 m long small sandy foreland located to the lee of The Water Rat. Sloping dolerite points border each end, with grassy dune-covered slopes rising behind. The beach and rocks grade seaward into the eastern surf zone and double outer bar system of Northdown Beach.
