Beach T 1165 commences at the low sandy Bakers Point and protrudes west into the port, curving round for 1.8 km to terminate at the low rocky Griffiths Point. The sheltered beach has been reworked by tidal flows and low ocean and westerly wind waves, resulting in an eroded southern half, with a 100 m wide series of low foredunes along the northern half, all backed by the vegetated overwash flats, and in the north the western end of the Bakers Beach foredune ridges. It is fronted by 100 m wide sand flats, then the deep port tidal channel, with flats widening to 200 m off the northern point. A track off the Bakers Beach Road leads to a picnic and camping area towards the northern end of the beach.
Beach Length: 1.8km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
