Griffiths Point consists of two low points that extend northward as 700 m long intertidal arms of Tertiary rocks, with 100 m long beach T 1166 located in between. It is a narrow high tide beach grading into a 200 m wide low tide terrace with waves averaging about 0.5 m. A gravel road runs out to the rear of the beach where there is a picnic area and toilets. During low waves the beach is used to launch small boats.
