Springlawn Beach (T 1164) is a very low energy beach and recurved spit that extends east of Bakers Point into the sheltered waters of the port. The 750 m long beach includes a distal 400 m long spit, which has been generated by westerly winds blowing across the 1 km wide section of the port, assisted by flooding tidal currents which erode the point and move the sand eastward along the spit. A gravel road terminates at the beach where there is a camping and picnic area, boat ramp and toilet facilities. It is backed by densely vegetated overwash flats that extend 1 km north to the rear of the Bakers Beach foredune ridges.
Beach Length: 0.75km
General Hazard Rating: 2/10
