Beach T 285 is an 80 m long pocket of sand and cobbles located at the base of steep densely vegetated slopes. Waves averaging over 1 m surge up the steep beach face, with a 100 m long dolerite point forming its western boundary. Beach T 286 is located immediately to the west in a 60 m wide gap between two dolerite points backed by a steep densely vegetated narrow V-shaped valley. Waves breaking into the gap form a permanent rip in front of the steep 50 m long sand and cobble beach.
