Tiger Head Bay is an open bay in lee of Tiger Head, with an 800 m long low energy, northwest facing beach (T 395) running from the head to low rocks at Dodges Ferry. The beach is low and narrow, usually calm, and backed by numerous boat sheds, together with a boat ramp, two jetties and several boats usually moored off the beach. Sand flats with patchy seagrass extend 300 m west of the southern end of the beach narrowing to the north, with the deep 300 m wide Pitt Water entrance channel, and strong tidal currents flowing past the flats.
