Carlisle Beach (T 376) is a 600 m long beach that faces west out of the bay. It receives low westerly wind waves which break across a 150 m wide ridged sand flats (Fig. 4.65), with a narrow high tide beach backed by sloping cleared land, then the Tasman Highway 100 m behind. A few houses are located between the highway and beach.
