Eaglehawk Neck is a low sand beach (T 305) and backing dune that connects the Tasman Peninsula to the mainland. There is good access off the Arthur Highway with two car parks and toilet facilities at the Neck. The Neck is only 200 m wide, while the beach is 1.8 km long and faces east directly into the bay mouth. As a result it receives moderately high waves averaging 1-1.5 m. These produce a continuous bar cut by several strong rips. The smaller beach T 306 is located on the low energy bay side of the Neck.
Beach Length: 18km
