Flinders Bay is a V-shaped bay that narrows to the mouth of Flinders Creek. Westerly wind waves blowing into the creek mouth have produced a 100 m long high tide beach (T 367) immediately south of the creek mouth, fronted by ridged sand flats that widen to 300 m at the creek mouth. The entire bay is bordered by tree-covered slopes that rise steeply to over 100 m. A vehicle track from the highway terminates at the beach where there are some buildings associated an oyster farm in the bay.
