Lagoon Bay is a 1.5 km deep, 700 m wide, east-facing U-shaped bay located to the south of Cape Frederick Hendrick, with rocky shore and the three small Kelly Islands forming the southern boundary. Deep within the bay is beach T 300, a curving, 1 km long sandy beach that faces east out the bay mouth. The beach receives lowered refracted waves that average less than 1 m and maintain a low gradient reflective to low tide terrace beach, with cusps usually present on the beach face. It is backed by a low 50 m wide foredune then cleared farmland with some farm buildings behind the centre of the beach and vehicle access to either end. A drainage ditch crosses the southern end of the beach.
