Salem Bay is a 1.5 km wide east-facing embayment bordered by the low Turner Point to the north and Salem Point to the south. Ridged sand flats link the two points and widen to 600 m in the centre of the bay. Beach T 358 is located on the southern side of Turner Point and faces south across the sand flats. It is 100 m long and backed by moderately sloping tree-covered terrain, then the houses of Turner Point. A boat ramp is located at the eastern end of the beach
