Beach T 1076 commences at the end of the seawall and curves for 300 m to the cobble-boulder beach surrounding the low Woody Hill Point. In between is a moderately steep sandy beach, whose low foredune is clipped by the railway. The beach has an attached reef at its western end and a mixture of sand and rock flats extending 200 m offshore. The backbeach area widens towards the eastern point where there is informal parking. Beaches T 1077 and 1078 are two continuous beaches separated by a central sandy foreland. Beach T 1077 commences on the eastern side of Woody Hill Point and trends to the east-southeast for 500 m to a slight sandy foreland. It is a moderately steep sandy high tide beach fronted by a patch of sand in the west, then continuous intertidal rock flats. Beach T 1078 lies between the two small forelands with the eastern foreland extending 250 m to the northeast as a shallow reef. It is a 200 m long continuous high tide reflective sand beach fronted by continuous 200 m wide intertidal rock flats. The old railway and highway back both beaches.
