Beach T 1048 commences on the eastern side of the foreland and curves to the east for 300 m to a low vegetated rocky point, which marks the end of the Sisters beaches. The sandy high tide beach is interrupted by rock outcrops towards the east and the entire beach is fronted by intertidal rock flats that extend up to 100 m offshore and surround the points. A vegetated foredune and the road parallel the rear of the beach, the road terminating at a car park just past the end of the beach at beach T 1049. There is an access track across the foredune towards the centre of the beach.
