Sisters Beach commences immediately east of the rock flats and the first section (T 1043) continues to curve to the southeast for another 500 m to a protruding section of beach tied to an intertidal reef. The beach consists of a high tide sand beach and a mixed sand and rocky low tide beach, with rips forming against the rocks during higher waves. It is backed by a low foredune and beachfront houses. The main beach (T 1044) continues east of the foreland for 1 km to the small sandy mouth of Sisters Creek. It is a continuous high tide beach with a 100 m wide low tide terrace, and a few scattered rock flats exposed at low tide. Waves average about 1 m, with higher waves generating rips at low tide.
