Chambers Bay is a small remote beach located 8 km east of Boat Harbour and 1 km west of the 180 m high Table Cape. The 200 m wide cove is indented 100 m into the backing slopes that rise steeply to 100 m. The beach (T 1059) extends for 100 m along the base of the slopes, and faces northeast into the prevailing wind waves, which average over 1 m at the shore. It is a continuous high tide-storm cobble beach, fronted by a moderately steep 50 m wide intertidal sand bar (Fig. 4.228), with rips forming against the boundary rocks during high waves. While the beach is located within the Table Cape Coastal Reserve, it is backed by ridge-top private property with no public land access.
