Chambers Bay is a small remote beach located 8 km east of Boat Harbour and 1 km west of the 180 m high Table Cape. The 200 m wide cove is indented 100 m into the backing slopes that rise steeply to 100 m. The beach (T 1059) extends for 100 m along the base of the slopes, and faces northeast into the prevailing wind waves, which average over 1 m at the shore. It is a continuous high tide-storm cobble beach, fronted by a moderately steep 50 m wide intertidal sand bar (Fig. 4.228), with rips forming against the boundary rocks during high waves.
