Beach T 811 is located on the northern side of the boundary rocks and consists of a 150 m long crescent of west-facing sand bordered by rock ridges, the northern ridges curving as they trend west into the surf forming a 100 m wide opening to the ‘bay’. The southern half of the bay has a sandy seafloor occupied by a low tide terrace, together with a pocket of sand in the southern corner. Waves break over a low gradient sandy floor between the rock ridges, with higher waves producing a strong rip flowing out of the narrow bay.
