Stingray Bay is a 300 m wide semicircular shaped, low rocky bay located 1 km north of the harbour. The bay faces west but is protected by a ridge of rock that almost encloses the bay with a central 50 m wide gap for waves and outer reefs extending a further 400 m offshore. Beach T 803 is located in the southeast corner of the bay and consists of a low energy 200 m long reflective beach fronted by a shallow sand and rock bay floor. It is backed by a low grassy foredune and the track. The dune is crossed by vehicle tracks, which are used to access the beach to launch small fishing boats, with some boats occasionally moored in the sheltered bay. The vehicle track continues around the perimeter and to the north.
