Beach T 766 is located 300 m to the north at the mouth of Albina Creek. The creek emerges from a narrow 100 m deep V-shaped valley to flow though an elongate 300 m long lagoon and then across the southern end of the 550 m long beach (Fig. 4.150). Densely vegetated dune-draped slopes border the beach, with rocky points and reefs to either side. The beach has an inner bar, which at times merges with a tidal delta, an inner rip draining out through the boundary rocks and an outer bar which links in the south with the Waller Creek bar. A vegetated dune-draped point forms the northern boundary with beach T 767 occupying a 200 m long section of shore dominated by rock outcrops and reefs extending 200 m offshore, and lowering waves to about 0.5 m at the shore. It is backed by vegetated dunes then slopes that rise to 90 m. A walking track reaches the northern end of the beach. read more
