The northern section (T 794) extends north of the shifting Little Henty River for approximately 3.9 km to the base of a 120 m high well vegetated hill. The waves, wide surf zone and rips continue right to the rocky boundary. The entire beach is destabilised by the river mouth which can shift as much as 3 km along the shore, with the beach consisting of a low bare beach ridge, backed by the active or inactive 100-200 m wide river channel. The only access route is via a rough 2 km long vehicle track that follows the shore south from Trial Harbour.
