Beach T 798 lies to the southern side of a sandy foreland that is located in front of the main area of shacks between a small southern boundary reef-tied foreland and the main sandy foreland. The 200 m long beach faces southwest and is sheltered sufficiently by the reefs and a shallow platform that they form a ‘lagoon’ between the reefs and shore with waves usually less than 0.5 m at the shore and calm conditions common. Out on the outer reef is one of the biggest rideable waves in Tasmania with a steep take off and low hollow left. A right-hand bommie is located on the northern side of the harbour. This is a wild danger location for experienced surfers only.
Beach Length: 0.2km
