Beach T 1177 curves for 600 m between two low sandy reef-tied forelands, the easternmost being Friend Point. The beach faces north and is fronted by 500 m wide rock and sand flats, which result in low waves at the shore. It is backed by partly cleared beach ridges up to 500 m wide which continue east from Greens Beach and around the rear of the point.
