Beach T 1174 is located 1.2 km southeast of the head and is an 80 m long pocket beach containing a narrow strip of steep high tide cobbles fronted by a 70 m wide low tide bar, with sloping rocky shore bordering either side, and rocks also outcropping across the bar. The beach is located just below the West Head vehicle track, with a picnic area behind the beach.
