Beach T 1178 commences at Friend Point and trends to the southeast for 2.8 km as a narrow very low energy crenulate high tide beach, fronted by sand and rock flats that induce the crenulations and widen from 400 m in the north to 700 m in the south. A 300 m wide zone of low cleared, grassy beach ridges, including a set of recurved spits located in an embayment, parallel the rear of the beach.
