The Potters Hill Road leads straight to the bluffs above Back Beach and provides foot access to Beach 175 and Griffith's Point Beach. The three beaches are all backed by steep, grassy, 20 to 30 m high bluffs. They all face south and receive waves averaging less than 1 m; the height of these is reduced by refraction around Cape Woolamai on Phillip Island. The first beach (175) is 300 m long, with extensive rocks along the western end. Back Beach is backed by a low, grassy foredune and minute swamp, and is bordered by small headlands. Griffith's Point Beach is tucked in lee of the eastern side of the point and receives the lowest waves. Beach 175 and Back Beach have attached bars cut by rips against the headlands and rocks, while Griffith's Point Beach is steep and barless, but with reefs offshore.
Beach Length: 0.05km
