Bushranger Bay Beach is a 300 m long, west facing beach lying inside the bay, and afforded some protection by headlands and reefs from the high westerly waves. A low foredune backed by sloping bluffs surrounds the back of the beach, and a creek drains across the western end. Waves average 1 m and have built a wide beach with a continuous bar, with rips against the rocks at either end.The beach is privately owned but can be reached on foot along the 2 km long access track from Flinders Road.
Swimming
Moderately safe when waves are low, however stay on the bar and clear of the rocks, and rips against the rocks.
Surfing
During larger swell there are smaller beach breaks at the Bay.
Fishing
You can fish the rip gutters from the beach or the adjacent rock platforms.
General
An attractive, isolated beach well worth the walk for the views, a small surf or fish.
