Shoreham is a small holiday settlement lying between Flinders Road and the coast. A foreshore reserve parallels both beaches with the Shoreham Foreshore Camping Reserve located behind the main beach (237). A separate Beach Road runs out to the second Shoreham Beach (238), where a long car park runs between the bluffs and the back of the low beach. There is also a picnic area located here. Stony Creek drains across the northern end of the beach. Both beaches are very protected and usually have no waves. Shoreham Camping Beach is 1.5 km long and curves around to face south-east, while the 700 m long Shoreham Beach faces almost due east. Extensive sand and reef flats front both beaches and, as a result, the beaches have deep water only at mid to high tide. The tidal flats, and often seaweed, are exposed at low tide.
Beach Length: 1.5km
